Hypnotherapy is a safe, gentle and relaxing way of bringing about positive change, and is effective in treating a vast array of physical and psychological conditions.
It can help you feel more confident and more able to cope with stresses in life.
Hypnosis is a safe, powerful technique which creates a deeply relaxed state of the mind and body. This is similar to a natural state that we enter in to many times a day; it happens when we are deeply absorbed in something, such as reading a book, watching TV or doing repetitive tasks. It is a relaxed state somewhere between being awake and asleep and is a little like daydreaming. Whilst in this state, the subconscious mind can be very receptive to beneficial suggestions, accepting directions which promote positive change.
You will always be aware of what is happening and you will always be in control. You will not reveal anything you do not want to. It is a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Hypnotherapy is a highly effective treatment that combines hypnosis and talking therapy to produce positive changes to a person’s longstanding beliefs, negative feelings, and behaviours. People are often consciously aware of their problems but they are still unable to change them.
During hypnotherapy a person is able, with help from the therapist, to tap into their subconscious mind and access inner resources that can help to bring about beneficial change. We use techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and other approaches along with hypnosis, to help bring about positive change in a relatively short period of time.
